Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD)
The MILD procedure is a specific treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). Lumbar spinal stenosis results in narrowing of the lumbar spinal canal and causes back and leg pain that is worse on standing and walking and relieved by sitting.
The MILD procedure addresses a major root cause of LSS by removing excess tissue to restore space in the spinal canal. It is an outpatient procedure with a typically short recovery time.
